One of the first questions clients always ask when they book their son or daughter in for a portrait session (other than newborn or course) is “what should my little one wear for their photos” and it is such a great question! My style is very much about creating beautiful, timeless imagery that you will love just as much in 20 years time as you do now. I recommend choosing items that are neutral or soft in colour and have lovely texture. Try to stay away from busy patterns or clothing that have pictures, writing or logos on them. It is always a great idea to bring along a few different options so that be can put together outfits that will work perfectly for your session. Two of my favourite stores that I love to recommend to clients because their pieces complement my style so well are Purebaby and Seed Heritage. They both have so many lovely choices in their baby departments that you are sure to find something you love!
Over the past six months I have also been collecting beautiful little outfits in gorgeous neutral colours as well as soft pinks and baby blues to create my own studio wardrobe which my clients are welcome to use during their session. I wanted to be able to offer a selection of beautiful clothing to my clients, to help take the stress and expense out of finding the perfect outfits for their session. I have been drawn to knitted textures and anything with a beautiful organic feel. I am so excited to see it all come together and I can’t wait to find more and more pieces so that I can continually add to my collection. Below are just a few examples of some of the outfits that are now in my studio.
